Maintenance Area Leader - 1st Shift (Part of Magna International) We're looking for a Maintenance Area Lead to join our 1st shift team! Great outdoors for hunting and fishing, 20 minutes from Iowa Speedway, Fun Ski Area, and much more… Summary: The Maintenance Area Lead directs the work flow in the maintenance department for all shifts by managing associates and projects and will works with vendors and contractors as necessary. Job Responsibilities: Oversees, supervises and directs maintenance associates, including shift leaders, on all shifts to attain production priorities as scheduled. Fill in for the maintenance manager in his/her absence. Hold daily pre-shift meetings and other pre-shift meetings to provide feedback and support; also provide status reports as needed. Communicates with maintenance manager and other plant personnel about maintenance concerns, providing status reports as appropriate. Assists in the implementations and improvement of effective preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment. Conducts performance evaluations on associates. Leads the department in design and development of improving methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. Performs maintenance duties as required and may be required to adjust shifts as necessary. Education and/or Experience: Must have high school diploma or GED Knowledge of PLC, ladder logic, robotic interfaces and programming Perfer a two year associatics degree or higher in a related field Prefer three years of supervisory experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be proficient in computer operations Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, requirements and business correspondences Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts as appropriate.
