| QA / Quality Assurance Process Engineer - Automotive Manufacturing QA Process Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing Williamsburg Manufacturing (part of Magna International) is growing quickly, and looking for a QA Process Engineer to join our innovative team. Williamsburg Manufacturing is located in Williamsburg, IA and will require relocation for those interested in this opportunity. We are sure you will love the area, since we are located about 20 miles west of the Iowa City – Cedar Rapids "corridor;" a thriving and rapidly growing region. Summary of Responsibilities: · Development and maintenance of APQP, PPAP, and ISO-TS 16949 documentation · Preparation and maintenance of process inspection instructions, reports, and quality alerts · Leadership in continual improvement efforts, to include process mistake proofing, CPK improvement, problem solving and chronic quality team organization and direction, and coordinating timely reaction to customer concerns · Assist in developing and upgrading checking aids · Functions as the Quality Assurance Manager designate as required Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Achieve department objectives in support of company production, quality, and safety goals · Work effectively with the Q.A. Manager and department associates for continual improvement of department methods, procedures, and policies; assist in the implementation of aforementioned · Communicate effectively with company personnel, customers, and suppliers · Attend and participate in department meetings, plant meetings, and training; participate in customer visitations as designated by the Quality Assurance Manager · Support new program launches and customer expectations · Provide reports as required by the Quality Assurance Manager · Handle confidential information on a regular basis · Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example · Promote and facilitate Open Door process, effective communications and Fair Treatment · Participate in Continual Improvement activities · Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies · Perform other duties as assigned Education, Skills and Experience · 4 year college degree in a related discipline such as industrial engineering, mechanical/industrial technologies, or ASQ recognition as a Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor · Knowledge of Quality Assurance Department processes, policies, and procedures. · Knowledge of customer and ISO-TS 16949 requirements · Knowledge of automotive fabrication processes · Proficiency with Advanced Product Quality Planning methods · Strong computer skills required We are one of the area's top employers offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits which include profit sharing; 401(k); and health, dental and vision plans.
